Kid’s Camp 2013

The Gleanings Foundation’s Annual Kid’s Camp will be held from June 24 – 28, 2013 this year.  This camp is open to all age children of friends and family connected to the Foundation in some way as well as local children.  An adult is asked to accompany each child attending, especially for younger children.  We spend a lot of time in nature on hikes, water adventures and just exploring.  We do arts and crafts, participate in a show and spend time in the on-site pool.  We foster an atmosphere of acceptance so that each child is supported in having an exceptional experience.  Please register for Kid’s Camp by calling (828) 479-2233 or emailing gleaningsfoundation@frontier.com.  Check out photos from previous years and a video from Kid’s Camp 2012 by visiting the “Events” tab and clicking on Kid’s Camp.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Spring Wine Tasting

Summer Arts Camp

Summer Arts Camp will be held this year from June 17 – June 21 and is for rising 3rd through 9th graders.  In addition to creating sets and props, working on a show, and developing creative expression, home-cooked lunches and snacks, all materials and access to the on-site pool are included.  Enrollment is limited to the first 20 campers.  There is a performance for family and friends the evening of Friday, June 21st.  Please see the attached flyer for details.

Balancing The Body

Join Dr. Patricia Johnson and Nina Zimbelman for a Saturday workshop, February 23rd from 10am to 2pm, on Balancing The Body.  (Light lunch included)  Our bodies are the vehicles we use to move through life.  When our bodies are out of balance, it can impact our lives and create imbalances such as being overweight or underweight, emotional instability and the inability to find joy in daily life.  Weekly classes will continue with Nina on Tuesdays in March from 4:30 – 5:30pm.  Please see the flyer for more information.
