The Gleanings Foundation is a unique concept that emerged twenty five years ago through the work of Nina Zimbelman. Nina discovered that when a human being connects to a universal energy, all things are possible. Frameworks that are limited can become unlimited, forms that are dense and heavy can be lightened, and boundaries can be expanded.

To "glean" is 'to search for relevance', and relevance can be found in all situations, be it an answer to a medical problem, a message in a crisis, or just a shift in a perception.

The Gleanings Foundation, now located on a mountaintop in Western North Carolina has developed seven spokes in it's 'Wheel of Life' where it is exploring the connections of human consciousness and universal awareness. These connections include Medicine, Community, Workshops and Classes, Retreats, Explorations in Consciousness, a Metaphysical Mystery School, and a Mountaintop Inn.
